Biography

Dr. Ali completed his bachelors degree in Biochemistry in 2013. He then pursued a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Ottawa in Canada under the supervision of Professor Seung-Hwan Lee, an expert in the field of Natural Killer cells. Dr. Ali’s work was primarily on Natural killer cells development and function in animal models. After finishing his PhD degree in 2020, he joined Harvard Medical School and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston as a research fellow. His current work focuses on developing novel cancer immunotherapies through the design of next-generation chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) in NK cells and T cells for treated cancer patients.
