Florence Tama

Biography

Florence Tama is a highly accomplished researcher and professor with a focus on physics, chemistry, and biochemistry. Since 2016, she has served as the Principal Investigator at the WPI-ITbM at Nagoya University, where she leads a team of researchers in studying various scientific fields. She has been a professor at Nagoya University since 2015 and serves as a Team Leader at R-CCS, RIKEN since 2013. Prior to joining Nagoya University, Tama was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Arizona in the USA from 2006 to 2012. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at The Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, CA, USA, from 2001 to 2005, where she worked under the mentorship of Dr. Charles L. Brooks III. Throughout her career, Tama has made significant contributions to various scientific disciplines and continues to be a leading figure in her field.
