As a Ph.D. candidate in molecular bacteriology and a lecturer at the University of Jeddah, my current research focuses on the genetic characterization and genotyping of S. aureus from One Health perspective. My expertise reside in clinical and molecular microbiology, and I have experience working in research microbiology laboratories, with a current focus in high throughput sequencing technology to research human pathogens. My research areas of interest are Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), Bacteria and bacterial infections, Epidemiology of infection, food, water and environmental microbiology, Genomics and metagenomics, Healthcare associated infections (HCAI), Molecular sequencing technologies, Public Health and surveillance.
