Trends in Microbiome and Digital One Health

Dr Alghoribi is the chairman of the infectious disease research department at KAIMRC. He is also a research scientist leading research and biotechnology projects. His interests are focused primarily on transforming research and development (R&D) of innovative healthcare and biotechnology approaches. He developed outstanding knowledge and skills in scientific research utilizing multi-omics approaches to integrate genomics and transcriptomics data to understand the mechanisms underlying emerging/re-emerging pathogens. Another area of interest includes data science and applied bioinformatics for public health microbiology, pathogenomics, molecular typing, biomarker, drug discovery and metagenomics. In addition, he recognized the need to develop a better infectious disease surveillance program in Saudi Arabia using the power of advanced technologies and high throughput analysis, which will help to understand the pathogens evaluation, modes of transmission, dissemination and prevention of clinically and public health relevant pathogens.
