Biography

Misha Kudryashev is a group leader at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in the Helmholtz Association and Professor of In Situ Structural Biology at the Charité - Universitätsmedizin, Berlin. His group uses biochemistry, cryo-electron microscopy and develops new algorithmic tools to gain mechanistic insights into medically relevant membrane proteins. Misha Kudryashev received his undergraduate degree in physics from the Siberian Federal University (Krasnoyarsk, Russia), his PhD in malaria research from the University of Heidelberg (Germany), and was an interdisciplinary postdoc at the Biozentrum Basel (Switzerland). In 2015 he won the Sofja Kovalevskaja Prize from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation and started his group at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysics (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) and moved to Berlin in 2021.
