Dr. Ohyanagi obtained his B.S. and M.S. degrees from The University of Tokyo, and received his Ph.D. degree in genetics from The Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Japan. With over 15 years of experience in both private and academic sectors of bioscience in Japan, he joined to KAUST in 2015.
