The 21st International Conference on

Bioinformatics (InCoB2022)

November 21-23, 2022 VIRTUAL This event is organized by CBRC in partnership with APBioNET

For all paper submissions to InCoB2022, besides the submission to the respective journal’s editorial manager, authors MUST also make a submission to the conference Easychair site. This will help us track your submission with the respective journal.

For all other InCoB2022 submissions (abstract, extended abstract and proposals), you only need to submit to the Easychair site.

Note that for all submissions to EasyChair, in the Title line of the web submission page, please indicate the submission category, such as “(Paper: JBCB)”, “(Abstract)”, “(Extended Abstract)”, or “(Proposal)”. Submissions without any label will be discarded.

2. Detailed Instructions for Full Paper Submissions

For all paper submissions to InCoB2022, besides the submission to the respective journal’s editorial manager, authors MUST also make a submission to the conference Easychair site. This will help us track your submission with the respective journal.

Note that for all submissions to EasyChair, in the Title line of the web submission page, please indicate the submission category, such as “(Paper: JBCB)”, “(Abstract)”, “(Extended Abstract)”, or “(Proposal)”. Submissions without any label will be discarded.

All submitting authors are required to submit together with the manuscript a cover letter clearly stating the name of their preferred journal (e.g. BMC Genomics).

In the cover letter, the corresponding author should provide full contact details: complete mailing address, telephone, and fax contact numbers and e-mail address(es). The corresponding author must certify that the work submitted is original and has not been submitted elsewhere for publication. Furthermore, if accepted, the corresponding author must agree to pay the specified article processing charges as well as reformat the accepted version of the manuscript in accordance with the journal requirements. At least one author of any accepted manuscript must be an APBioNet member (https://www.apbionet.org/membership), clear the conference registration fee, and participate in the virtual to deliver the oral presentation. The conference organisers will negotiate a lower rate with the journal publishers, where possible.

The corresponding author should certify that the work should be MiABi (Minimum Information About a Bioinformatics Investigation) compliant – with submissions containing new gene expression data (RNAseq, microarray) or sequence data must have been deposited with NCBI and accessions obtained. The files must be accessible to reviewers, no part of the manuscript has been reproduced from another copyrighted source without permission or proper attribution, or has been inappropriately used, in order to avoid possible plagiarism or self-plagiarism issues. We further recommend that the authors kindly check the originality of their manuscript using any standard online anti-plagiarism software tool.

Example of Template Declaration to be included in the cover letter:
“We, the Authors collectively and individually declare that to our best ability, we have ensured that the submission made herein, including the main paper, supplementary data, deposited data, database entries, software code, does not contain any plagiarized material, content or ideas, and that all necessary attributions have been appropriately made and all copyright permissions obtained, cited and acknowledged.

”We reserve the right to return manuscripts that do not correspond with the prescribed format of the selected journal without review. If not well suited for publication in the preferred journal, the authors may be offered the opportunity to transfer the manuscript for consideration in another journal. The cover letter should be uploaded as a PDF, Word or Text file.

Journal Choices
BMC Genomics

considers all aspects of genome-scale analysis, functional genomics, proteomics, “big data” and “giga” science. Instructions for BMC Genomicsauthors:
https://bmcgenomics.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines

BMC Medical Genomics

considers articles on all aspects of functional genomics, genome structure, genome-scale population genetics, epigenomics, proteomics, systems analysis, and pharmacogenomics in relation to human health and disease. Instructions for BMC Medical Genomics authors: https://bmcmedgenomics.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines

BMC Molecular and Cell Biology

formerly known as BMC Cell Biology, is an open access journal that considers articles on all aspects of both eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell and molecular biology, including structural and functional cell biology, DNA and RNA in a cellular context and biochemistry, as well as research using both the experimental and theoretical aspects of physics to study biological processes and investigations into the structure of biological macromolecules. Instructions for BMC Molecular and Cell Biology authors: https://bmcmolcellbiol.biomedcentral.com/submission-guidelines

BMC Bioinformatics

considers all aspects of the development, testing and novel application of computational and statistical methods for the modeling and analysis of all kinds of biological data, as well as other areas of computational biology. Instructions for authors:

Please read the descriptions of each of the article types (research article, methodology article, database article and software article), choose which is appropriate for your work and structure the manuscript accordingly. If in doubt, your manuscript should be formatted as a Research article.

The start date for BMC submissions 21st August 2022.

All manuscripts for BMC Genomics, BMC Bioinformatics, BMC Systems Biology, and BMC Medical Genomics must be submitted directly through the BMC supplement issue editorial management system. Manuscripts not complying to formatting, submissions and supplementary data guidelines of the respective BMC journals will be returned to authors without peer review. The peer review will be handled through the BMC EM system. The article publication charges for accepted manuscripts will be directly invoiced and collected by BMC.
